HS First Aid, CPR & AED

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Opioid-Associated life-threatening emergencies

Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.

Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.

This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. This course uses AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Blended Learning (online portion, followed by hands-on skills session)

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Blended Learning Course and is designed to teach students information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training.

​

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Steps:

  1. Complete HeartSaver Total Module:                                 

  2. Complete Hands on session:

    • Must be completed within 30 days​

      • Hands-On skills session varies based on # of students (no longer than 2.5 hours)​

Our 100% virtual course consists of a series of online modules that can be completed at your own pace, followed by a scheduled virtual session with a certified CPR instructor. This approach provides students with the flexibility to take Heartsaver® eLearning courses and complete a virtual hands-on skills session with an instructor 100% online.
